I am an adventure seeker. Not the kind the jumps out of planes and runs with the bulls, the kind that feels a rush when taking in the sights, sounds and smells of a new city. Adventure to me is feeling a new culture, whether it is climbing up the steps of Montmartre in Paris and gawking at the beautiful cathedral set to the bright blue sky like a perfect painting, or swimming in the crystal waters of Cancun rushing through the ocean waves and letting the salt carry me through serenity. I feel a sense of release when I travel; it is my freedom and I feel more alive than ever when I am out of my element. There is something to say about sitting at a café, sipping a cappuccino and watching the locals go about their everyday. Traveling costs money but cultural experience is priceless. I can look at postcards and wonder what it would be like to travel to the most beautiful places in the world or I can take the wonder out of the equation and make my own memories.
