I am back at it again with one check off the bucket list. After Paul and I got married we decided on a whim to jump in the car and drive to Las Vegas to celebrate! I have lived in LA for two years and had yet to do the Las Vegas road trip, so why not!! I have been wanting to see the 7 Magic Mountains art installation which are 7 brightly colored boulders stacked on top of each other, towering up to 35 feet and ironically placed in the middle of the desert. The artist and creator of the 7 magic Mountains, Ugo Rondinone, explains that he wanted to symbolize the drastic difference between real and fake; the contrast of the natural desert topography and the noisy Interstate 15 leading to the lively city of Las Vegas.
The Seven Magic Mountains has become quite the popular pit stop for tourists visiting Las Vegas and well since I was tourist, and am always a lover of a good photo, I made a fun visit to see these seven giant boulders towering from the desert!
